Essentials Collection
FFORA’s first product line, a wheelchair attachable Essentials Collection. Developed physical product language from scratch amongst other things such as participating to general brand strategy.
Delivered as the Head of Industrial Design:
Visualised sketches and developed prototypes
Core decisions on colours, materials and finishes
Collaborated with engineers to design for manufacturing
Worked with vendors and manufacturers, reviewed samples
Participated to brand strategy process with the branding team

FFORA was Founded, Because Wheelchairs Looked Like This
In 2018, there were no functional and fashionable accessories for mobility devices. Wheelchair and walker users self-invented and hacked most of the accessories on their chairs.
Involving the Community from the Day One
Wheelchair users and the disability community was involved in every step of the product development process: from focus groups to prototype user testing to final product validation.
Reception and public acknowledgements
FFORA’s products have won two major design awards and been critically acclaimed by the community and design industry. FFORA has been featured New York Times, Cosmopolitan and biggest Finnish media outlets such as Yle and Helsingin Sanomat.
